Creep by Hiroshi Awai

Brand new at Wood for Autumn/Winter 11 we present to you Creep by Hiroshi Awai. Founded in Osaka, Japan by Kiyofumi Awai in 1997, Hiroshi joined Creep as creative director in 2008 and has since took the line in a new direction by combining innovative Japanese design with his passion for the simple beauty of functional American workwear.

Creep’s first season at Wood features staple classics with a twist, such as the Creep Goose Down Pea Coat (pictured above), a denim Cut Off Sleeve Work Shirt and a beautiful Wool Shawl Collar Cardigan. You can check the rest of the collection HERE.

 

Volta Footwear

Just a quick reminder in case you missed it but we are now proud stockists of Italian footwear brand Volta. Volta have been on our radar for a while now and it’s a pleasure to finally present their unique silhouette to the good people of Manchester and beyond.

We have picked up a couple of different styles across two colours. For those looking for something smart and easy this Autumn, the Volta Classic shoe in both Black and Brown is perfect, with a soft leather upper and gum sole ideal for the season. For the risk takers out there we also have the Volta Classic Madras in both Black and Grey (pictured) with a suede trim. You might want to check the weather before rocking out in these – then again you might not, you daredevil you!

Mishka x Death In June Fall 11 Collaboration

As part of their Fall 11 collection Mishka have collaborated with Death In June for a small drop in addition to their usual range of zany, off the wall t-shirt designs for the season. We have picked up the above ‘Douglas P. Whip’ T-Shirt in White, which will be arriving at our Manchester store in the next couple of weeks.

“Death In June is the musical project of Douglas P. that was formed in 1981 following the end of his punk group, Crisis. Death In June had been started with three members as a group but the other two left one at a time, and Death In June stopped being the name of a musical group and in 1985 turned into the alter-ego of Douglas P.”

Mishka Fall 11 Release Party
