Heel Bruise 36 Months Prints

For Heel Bruise’s recent appearance at US trade show Agenda, the Cali skate/street brand put together this 11 x 17 print featuring 36 of their graphic designs used over the past 3 years, or 36 months! Unlucky for us we missed out on the event (and one of these prints!), however we thought it a great opportunity for you to familiarise yourself with the brand and some of their logos.

Although Heel Bruise is in its first season with us here at Wood, we are already expecting big things from them over the coming months, especially after seeing what they have prepped for Spring ’12. Look out for that in March/April time, until then we still have a few pieces left from their Holiday ’11 collection, available in-store (Manchester) and online.

O Clock Watch

O Clock is an Italian watch brand offering variety and contemporary design with Citizen mechanical efficiency. The O Clock watch’s immediate appeal lies in the ability to swap and change the colour of both the clock face and strap. Aside from the aesthetic adaptations that O Clock has to offer, the watch is also water-resistant with glow-in-the-dark hands as well as being affordable at £30-£35 here at Wood. The O Clock watch comes in a trademark tin with the option to buy extra colour straps making it an ideal gift, so come and pick yours at Wood or shop online at ashopcalledwood.com

Los Angeles Fantasy Urban Makeover

Came across this article over at DISINFORMATION which I thought you might find of interest. Artist David Yoon has created a virtual makeover of the city of Los Angeles – showing what it could look like if it’s famously wiiiiide roads (boulevards??) were much narrower and not overpopulated with endless cars and traffic jams. It kind of looks like Manchester now, without the palm trees of course. For another slice of that good LA lifestyle, look out for the Hundreds Fall 11 delivery which will be arriving at our Manchester store sometime before the end of July.

Parra x Toykyo Take A Rest Sculpture Black Edition

Take a look at this new Glossy Black take on Parra’s “Take A Rest” figure. Working alongside Toykyo, Parra has revamped the 15x20cm porcelain figure in this brand new colour-way for 2011. Parra’s Rockwell brand will be returning to Wood in the near future. Make sure you look out for that and sign up to our newsletter HERE – you can follow us on Twitter HERE.

Ski Beatz ’24 Hour Karate School II’ Artwork

Early 2010 Ski Beatz dropped his much anticipated 24 Hour Karate School album to much acclaim – featuring collaborations with The Cool Kids, Jim Jones, Camp Lo and many more. Fast forward 1 year and Ski is already ready to drop a sequel for us, enlisting Dave Barnett for the artwork. Barnett actually designed the cover of 24 Hour Karate School part 1 as well as both of Currensy’s Pilot Talk albums. Look out for this to drop in August – you can pre-order at Amazon HERE.
