Walter Martiny was the man behind the Superga brand as he started production in 1913 for rubber soled footwear. Later on in 1925 the production included vulcanised rubber soles. During the Italian market crisis in 1975 Superga need to diversify their product which lead them towards the sports market which did very well and lead them to be an official sportwear manufacturer in 1981. Basic Net has now he license to distribute and manufacture the Superga products worldwide.
